Regional economic development, including Local Decision Making – Kristy has been involved in several projects to enhance opportunities for the participation of Aboriginal peoples living in remote communities. Work includes strategic planning for Land Councils and large Aboriginal Corporations, business case development for new remote infrastructure and operational plans for associated business activities, supporting implementation activities under Local Decision Making Agreements, and Government policy consultation and review activities.

Tourism – Kristy has delivered tourism-related strategic planning, business cases and business plans for service providers and the Northern Territory Government. Key projects have included the development of the Northern Territory’s Long Term Business Events Strategy and the Northern Territory’s Drive Tourism Strategy, as well as reviews of Darwin's precinct management, Darwin Waterfront and established facilities for ongoing viability assessment. Kristy has worked with accommodation providers and tourism operators to expand and establish new tourism products across the Northern Territory.

Education and Youth – Kristy has delivered education-related projects for the Commonwealth Government, Northern Territory Government, and directly for schools and funders of youth engagement activities in Darwin and remote Northern Territory. Experience includes working in childcare settings, primary schools, secondary schools, boarding facilities, out-of-school hours care, youth centres and associated service provision, financial modelling/costing assessments and review of public policy related to Indigenous education. Noteworthy projects include the Non-Government Indigenous Boarding Schools - Review of Funding Arrangements and long-term partnerships with Tiwi Islands and Groote Eylandt to progress indigenous education initiatives.

Housing – Kristy has delivered several high-level strategic engagements for the Northern Territory Government in relation to housing, which have included the development of the Northern Territory Housing Strategy, review of Government Employee Housing, review of Seniors Housing and review of Retirement Accommodation, review of teacher housing arrangements as well as accommodation demand assessment in regional areas of the Northern Territory. Kristy has also developed business cases and funding applications to develop specialist disability accommodation, assisted affordable housing providers and worked towards improved tenancy management.

Justice – Kristy has performed strategic and review services for the Northern Territory Government and legal services in the NT. Work delivered includes strategic reform for Correctional Services, performance review and planning for the Department of Public Prosecutions and Solicitor for the Northern Territory, as well as the development of the Northern Territory’s Legal Assistance Strategy. Kristy has reviewed several not-for-profit legal services and costed and evaluated justice initiatives for Northern Territory Government.

Aquaculture – Kristy has delivered strategic planning for seafood export, developed a scoping study for a seafood processing facility in Darwin and worked with coastal Aboriginal communities to establish plans for aquaculture development.

Construction – Kristy has delivered business cases and feasibility assessments (including operational planning) for a range of construction projects across the Territory in the areas of tourism, education, justice, accommodation, agriculture, aquaculture, arts and sport, with projects ranging from $1m to $70m.

Arts & Culture – Kristy has developed strategic plans, business cases and business plans for Arts and Cultural centres and experiences across the Northern Territory, including for Darwin Festival and several Aboriginal Corporations. Kristy has also assisted the Northern Territory Government in developing industry strategies and toolkits.

Sport – Kristy has worked with several of the Territory’s peak sporting bodies to develop strategic plans. Kristy has also worked with clubs, big and small, around planning for their development of sport, operation of club facilities and infrastructure.
